Carol Haschart, age 85 of Centerville, OH passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020. She was born in Dayton, Ohio and lived in Centerville, OH for most of the last 57 years of her life.

Carol is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred L. Haschart; son, Brian Haschart; daughter in-law, Karen Thomas; step-grandson, Chad Thomas; son, Gary Haschart; daughter in-law, Andrea Haschart; granddaughter, Dana Haschart; sisters, Nancy (Hermes) Jenkins and Marilyn (Hermes) McAdams; as well as nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Carol was proceeded in death by her parents, Harry and Opal Hermes and sister, Reva Mae (Hermes) McChesney.

Carol was a graduate of Stivers High School in Dayton, Ohio. Carol graduated in 1955 from Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati. She began her career as an optometry assistant for Dr. Sloan in Dayton, OH. Later she was employed by Charles F. Kettering Memorial Hospital for over 30 years as an RN in the ICN (Intensive Care Nursery) Unit.

Carol was a long-time member of Centerville United Methodist Church. Throughout her life she enjoyed many activities including gardening, flower arranging, ceramics, cooking, and learning new things. Carol will always be remembered by those who loved her and enjoyed her company.

In an abundance of caution, burial will be private with consideration for a memorial to celebrate Carol’s life at a later date.
