Annette Lee Life story video
Annette Lee was born January 22, 1957 to Annie Mae Mackey Vines, who survives and the late Andrew Vines in LaFayette, Alabama. In addition to her father, Annette was preceded in death by her brother, Llewellyn Vines; and granddaughter, Jasmin Ware.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 43 years, Wallace Lee; two daughters: Royal Vines and LaToya Ware; four sons: Carl Fails, Antonio Lee, Henry Lee and Johnny Lee (Toni); three sisters: Martha Burton (Bommer), Jeannette Knox (Webster), Sarah Ross (Frankie), two half-sisters: Yolanda Vines and Darlene Billingsley (Grady); two brothers: Bobby Vines (Betty) and Andrew Vines (Tara); six granddaughters: Whitney Lee (Kenneth), Brandi Thompson, Tia Alexus Ware, Talia Ware, Xa'Tiya Lee and Serenity Fails; one grandson, Tyler Lee; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Annette was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. She was an educator in Allen County School for more than 25 years and then in Montgomery County for 5 years. Annette was very dedicated to her Benchmark clients.

She always loved and supported her family. Annette and her husband worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their children. She fostered over 60 children in her 20 years of child care and loved every last one as her own. Though few people knew the extent to which she struggled, her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her persevering through. Annette was well known and loved in her community. Her sunset was on February 11, 2020 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
