In Memory Of
Barbara Lee Herdt
1943 - 2019

HERDT, Barbara Lee, age 76 of Washington Court House, passed away on Wednesday November 6, 2019. She was born to the late Milo Cassady and Mary (Sprouse) Cassady on March 11, 1943. She was one of seven children.

A truly most loving wife, mother, grandmother, business owner, and homemaker. Barbara was a lover of animals, antiques, and home remodels. Family and friends were Barbara’s passion and delight. When she wasn’t outside taking care of her horses and dogs, she loved to watch home improvement shows, refinish furniture, – and rearrange both inside and outside of her home (often)!

Barbara was born and grew up in Columbus, Ohio; and spent time living in California and Vermont before settling back in Ohio. She gave birth to three children in California and one child in Vermont.

Survivors include her husband of over 52 years, Peter J. Herdt, whom she was demonstrably loyal and dedicated to; her four children, Rebecca L. (Herdt) Manville, David G. Herdt, Joseph P. F. Herdt, and Thomas V. Herdt; and her seven grandchildren; as well as her pets: Abby & Lilly (dogs) and Katie (horse). All the chickens, turkeys, pheasants, and other exotic birds kept by her husband, she tolerated!

The family wishes to thank all those folks who cared for her during her last days. She will always be in the hearts of her family and friends.
