1932 - 2019

Hanami “Kazuko” Thompson, age 87, of West Carrollton passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 19, 1932 in Fukuoka, Japan the daughter of Kenzaburo & Maki Yamaguchi who precede her in death.
Kazuko “Mamaw” is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years Lee Thompson, loving daughter Diane & Doug Hortman, loving grandchildren Ryan & Mindy Hortman and Brittany & Dan Hunter, loving great grandchildren Peyton, Wyatt, Colton, and Kellen.
Mamaw was very generous, kind, giving, and patient. She enjoyed cooking for the people she loved. She was her grandchildren’s biggest fan attending anything and everything they did. She was very faithful to her Lord and longtime member of Trinity Church of Miamisburg. She dedicated her life to the family she loved. She will be missed by all who love her.
Family will receive friends, Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 2:00 – 3:00pm at Trinity Church of Miamisburg, 203 E. Linden Avenue, Miamisburg, OH 45342, where a Memorial Service will follow at 3:00pm. Private family interment will take place at a later date in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Church of Miamisburg, 203 E. Linden Avenue, Miamisburg, OH 45342 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
