Glenn A. Manning
1956 - 2019
Glenn A. Manning, age 63, of West Carrollton, OH passed away suddenly on October 11, 2019 at Sycamore Hospital. Glenn was born on April 19, 1956 in Middletown, OH. He was the son of Chester and Helen (Spicer) Manning. Glenn would later marry the love of his life and "Best Friend", Paula Myers, on May 15, 1976 in Dayton, OH. They would later move to West Carrollton, OH to begin their life's journey together building their home and raising their children.
Glenn lived for the weekends where he and Paula would load the car with their family and "provisions" and head to Lake Cumberland to their beloved houseboat and oasis, "Independence." Over the years, Glenn, Paula and their family began to develop long-lasting friendships that turned into their "Lake-Family." Glenn was a true people-person and a lover of life who enjoyed being surrounded by his friends and most of all, his loving family.
Along with his wife, Paula, Glenn leaves behind a family legacy consisting of his 3 children, son, Neil A. (Robin) Manning of Miamisburg, OH; daughters, Jennifer B. Manning and Lisa M. Manning both of Miamisburg, OH; brother, Larry (Becky) Manning of Sacramento, CA; sisters, Monica (Dave) Reddig of Gilbert, AZ and Sherri (Jim) Getter of West Carrollton, OH; grandson, Nick Manning; granddaughter, Rachel Manning; and many loving nieces, nephews and dear, close friends including his "Lake Family."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester A. and Helen F. Manning.
Glenn's family invites friends and family to attend a Celebration of Life Open House on Thursday, October 17, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, Ohio. The family would like to encourage and suggest that all of those that plan to attend, please come dressed "casually"...that's the way Glenn would want it! A cremation is scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest that donations can be made in Glenn's name to the American Heart Association.
