Robert Kroger obituary: Robert Kroger's Obituary, Dayton
In Memory Of
Robert Lee Kroger
1947 - 2019
In Memory Of
Robert Lee Kroger
1947 - 2019
Robert is survived by his wife, Kathleen Kroger; his loving sisters, Pauline (Jessie) Rose, Darlene O'Hair; brother, Wil (Anto) Kroger; 4 nephews; 4 nieces and many great nephews and nieces.
Robert was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the Marine Corps following graduation from high school. Robert loved his wife, Kathy and family and enjoyed "joking around" with his siblings especially his nephews and nieces. Robert loved to laugh and making people laugh. Some of our fondest memories of Robert were him "dressing up" every Christmas as Santa Claus with his bag of toys for the little ones. Robert enjoyed this tradition just as much as the kids did. He will always be remembered for his "big heart" and was always willing to help a total stranger when needed.
Robert worked for many years at Heidelberg Distribution of Dayton before retiring. He enjoyed going to garage sales with his wife, Kathy, always "wheeling & dealing" with people to insure that "good deal".
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the neurology/ICU department for their compassion and professional care shown to our brother.
We love you Robert and will miss you dearly. May God be with you on your journey brother.
Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM with Rev. Ken Dillingham officiating. Burial will follow the service at Dayton National Cemetery at 12 noon with military honors performed by the U.S. Marine Corp honor guard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors, in Robert's memory.
