BALLWEG, Donald Eugene, age 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 4, 2019. He joined his wife in heaven, Joyce Ann Ballweg, who passed away on August 31, 2011. They were married for 56 years. He is survived by his children, Laurie (Jim) Ryan, and Jeff (Lori) Ballweg; sibling Phyllis Keen; grandchildren, Jensine Ballweg, Cyndl (Uriah) Miller, Michaela Ballweg, and Brogan Ballweg; great-grandchildren, Skylar Ballweg and Willow Ballweg. He was proceeded in death by his daughter Linda Ballweg and sister Donna (Pete) Stewart.

Donald was in the Navy for four years during the Korean War. Shortly after leaving the military he returned to Ohio and married Joyce. Donald attended the University of Dayton and received an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for Sheffield Measurement for over 30 years, while he helped raise his three children. After he retired, he volunteered for Beavercreek Citizens on Preventative Patrol (COPP) for 21 years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 5-7 pm with the funeral service commencing at 7 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd Beavercreek, OH 45432. Interment will be held on Friday October 11, 2019 at 10 am at the Dayton National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald's name to Hospice of Dayton.
