1936 - 2019

Nicholas “Nick” Daniel DeMarco, age 83, of Dayton, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 13, 1936 in Tins Mill, Pennsylvania the son of the late, Daniel and Laura (Scalise) DeMarco.
Nick was a devoted member of Miamisburg Christian Church and a former member of Russell’s Point Church of God in Indian Lake, Ohio. He loved his job with Chevrolet and the Dayton Metro Library but loved spending time fishing the most. Nick was known as giving the “best hugs in town”. He was a loving husband, a great dad and grandfather. Nick was always happy to see his children and grandchildren who always gave them the biggest hugs to prove it. He was a generous, funny and kind. His family cannot imagine life without him and will be dearly missed.
Along with his parents, Nick is preceded in death by sisters, Carrie and Poey; step-father, Tony Guciardo, Jr.; mother-in-law, June Brockie and sisters-in-law, Bridget and Janet.
Nicholas is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen; sons, Anthony (Doris) DeMarco, Christopher (Dedra) DeMarco; Grandchildren, Laura DeMarco, Raymond DeMarco, Rebecca DeMarco, Landon DeMarco, Quinlan; father-in-law, Thomas (Mildred) Brockie; brothers-in-law, Tom (Marian) and Mark (Lisa); sisters-in-law, Susan (Glenn), Barbara (George), Diane (Bob), Mary Jo (Mike) and Liz; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends, Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 12:00pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Miamisburg Christian Church (1146 E Central Avenue, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342). Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel is assisting the family.
