In Memory Of
Barbara A. Gamble
1940 - 2019

Barbara A. Gamble, age 79 of Riverside, OH went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Soin Medical Center. She was born July 2, 1940 in Gainesboro, Tennessee to Oakley and Beulah (Anderson) Brown.

Barb graduated in 1960 from Jackson County High School in Gainesboro, TN. She retired from Delco Products after 33 and a half years. Barb was a member of Memorial Church in Dayton, helping to serve food to the children of the KIND program, and a past member of The Vineyard of Beavercreek, where she served as a greeter for many years. She was a member of Dayton Moose Lodge #73, VFW Post #8312 and a member of the former Eagles Lodge #321.

Barb was a VERY PROUD volunteer at Soin Medical Center, serving in the gift shop. Her heart was serving two days a week on the infusion floor at Soin, where she adopted the nurses as her family, and also had special relationships with the patients that she helped. She also served on the Patient Advisory Board, Volunteer Advisory Board and First Impression Board at Soin Medical Center. Barb always looked forward to her Friday lunches with her special friends, Garnet, Patt and Lynn and too many other special friends to mention.

Barb is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Jerry) Grice; two grandchildren, Alec (Kassie) Grice and Lexi Grice; her faithful dog, Bella; a brother, Ray (Doris) Brown; a sister, Anna Mae (Jim) MacPherson; her non DNA kids, Judy and Terry Wilson, Lisa and Brian Pry; her non DNA grandkids, Lisa (Bob), Ashley (Mike), Alissa (Ryan), Morgan and Haley, her non DNA great grandchildren, Mikayla, Lucas, Logan and Owen; a special niece, Sherri Taylor; a special nephew, Doug Brown; a special cousin and friend, Lucille D'Amato; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; and six brothers and one sister.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to "The Greene Medical Foundation" in honor of Barb to be used for the Soin Medical Center Infusion Floor.

Mom or Nana Barb, as she was known by so many, will be missed beyond words...as Barb always said, "I'm in God's hands".
