I had the privilege of coaching Jonny for close to two years at Northmont and there was not a friendly and more soft spoken kid. I call him kid because it only seems like yesterday, I still a kid myself, would be down at the Brownfield home and we would be playing basketball. We were all about 5-6 years older but it would not stop Jonny or Jordan from joining in. I am glad I was able to reconnect with Jonny and Jordan once they became older and will always cherish being a coach to them. May he rest in peace and may God bless you all in this time.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. As a mother that has been through this only two years ago I understand your pain. I will pray for peace and understanding. The best advice I have is mention his name daily and surround yourself with people who will help you keep his memory alive. This is something no mother should have to endure. If you need to anything please reach out.

Sincere condolences to "Jonny's" family & friends...
Unfortunately, I never met "Jonny" Lowery, having graduated from Northmont 3 decades before he was even born.
I regret that I never had the pleasure & joy of meeting, teaching, & coaching this young man, for from all that I have read and heard, he was a great athlete and a credit and an asset to the Northmont community, and I am proud that he was a fellow Thunderbolt alumnus..."...always loyal & true."
I've no doubt that "Jonny" put a smile on the face of his God...
Well-played, son...R.I.P., "Jonny" Lowery...

Man this hurts real bad loved John “Jonny like my own brother.“ we met at Central State University through a common love for the sport football. It’s funny we never really met formally till then Because I had Been to so many football camps at Northmont in high school I met and knew so many people who went there. He was a class act guy and one of those people you felt like you’ve known years upon years. We talked long nights in dorms countlessly about getting back on the field and that we couldn’t wait how much work we’d put in and bring CSU back to a prominent football program. He was one of the only people if I hit him up to come work out he’d drop everything and come work his tail off with me doing drills and routes. He’s was so fast man it was unreal made me question why he’s wasn’t D1 material how I should’ve been. Going to miss working out and late night 7 on 7’s with all the guys who weren’t on the team but loved football and wanted to get on it. was trying To get ahold of him to come play semi-pro. Sad we never actually padded up on a real field together. He’s was a true angel on earth and I’ll carry his legacy with me for the rest of my life. Hope to see him one day beyond those gates of heaven. I have a semi pro game this Saturday and I dedicate my performance to his life. Thank you again my dearest condolences.

Jonny was one of the best athletes I have had a chance to coach. He always came to practice and games with that smile on his face. I’ll always remember his senior year the first play of the playoff game at Elder when Graham threw a pass from our on 2 yard line and it turned into a 98 yard TD moments later. I am a better person and coach because God allowed my coaching path to cross with Jonny Lowery.....Gone way too soon #10 on the field and court, but #1 person. My prayer is that I get to see him again one day in heaven.

Johnny and his infamous smile! Johnny was very athletic but more importantly he was a polite and kind young man. Ann and family my hope is that your faith, love and memories of Johnny will guide you through this difficult time. Rest In Peace Johnny I am glad I knew you.

We will always remember Jonny as a respectful, incredibly talented athlete and intelligent young man. So many of us were privileged to watch him grow up on and off the football/baseball fields and basketball court. He will be missed. God Bless his Soul.
Ann, we pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your loss and leave you only the cherished memories of your son. May Comfort and Peace be with you all.

That smile. That smile will always be etched into my heart. Jonny was the best neighbor I ever had the privilege of knowing. We had some crazy times living next door to him. Our hooky snow day will forever be remembered as the best day ever. You are so missed Jonny. My prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends.

Jonny was one of the friendliest and sweetest students I taught at Northmont High School. He was so genuine. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss and am thinking of your family during this difficult time.

I can remember all the peewee football games and days we spent together. All the travel baseball and basketball games we shared together. Jonny had the funniest laugh and we always loved messing around. Me and him were the fastest of our grade and it was always a competition to see who was faster(probably him ) but I would never admit it. We always were competing with each other whether that was video games, basketball, or baseball. The times my dad would offer to help Jonny in any way by staying at our house or taking him to games because of Ann’s busy schedule herself times like that I will never forget. After high school even though we went our separate paths I still held love for Jonny and wish I could have talked with him and seen him one more time. He will be someone I’ll never forget and I hope he flys the highest out of any angel. Until we cross paths much love to one of my best friends/brothers J low ! Thoughts and prayers out to everyone affected by this troubling time.

To Ann and the whole family and to all the friends and teammates and others that knew and loved this young man... I pray you / we draw comfort from each other and in looking at this beautiful smile. I pray God met Jonny where he was and took him Home. I pray that Jonny can now be at peace. Like so many others I have too many memories to mention anything very specific but I will say that I will never eat another fruit snack without thinking of the sly smile he would flash when he went right for the cupboard as soon as he entered our home. That is just part of the Jonny that I will always treasure having in our lives.

I am so sorry for your loss. The whole family is in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember Jonny as the little boy with a huge smile on his face and his no fear attitude on the trampoline doing back flips and hanging from the trees. He was always ready to show what he could do even when it scared me every time. His sweet smile will be missed in the world.
