Vivian Rose McKiddy, age 68 of Carlisle, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She was born February 14, 1951 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to the late Inis Holbrook.

In addition to her mother, Inis, Vivian was preceded in death by her brother and Vietnam Veteran, Wendell Bates of Whitesburg, KY.

Vivian is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tony McKiddy of Carlisle, OH; children, Pamela McKiddy of Carlisle, OH and Jesse Stephen (Amy) McKiddy of Portage, MI; grandchildren, Sarah Tomashot, Amanda (Wade Addison) Gates, Andrew McKiddy and Benjamin McKiddy; a brother, Harold (Karen Sue) Bates of London, KY and sister-in-law, Barbara Akins of Franklin, OH, as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear loved ones.

Vivian was a 1969 graduate of Whitesburg High School, KY and began her family in 1970 with her husband, Tony McKiddy. Vivian was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Carlisle and taught Sunday School for many years at Pennyroyal Baptist Church, Franklin. As a family focused mother and wife she dedicated the majority of her adult life to caring for and supporting her family. Additionally, Vivian was a blessing for those who needed assistance in the community.

Family will receive guests from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, May, 16, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering. Funeral services will begin 12:00 noon Friday, May 17, 2019 also at funeral home followed by procession to Springboro Cemetery for burial. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
