He was born August 26, 1971 in Dayton, Ohio to Paul and Michaeline “Mickey” (Conty) Schommer. He was a 1989 graduate of Fairmont High School where he lettered in track. Vincent enjoyed a variety of sports and spent his time as a spectator on television and in person.
He and his wife of 20 years, Susan, were members of Emmanuel Catholic Church. Vincent was a devoted husband and dearly loved and cared for Susan.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Thompson) Schommer; his parents, Paul and Mickey Schommer; three brothers, Paul (Lisa) Schommer, Douglas (Cathy) Schommer, Admiral John (Amy) Schommer, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Emmanuel St. Vincent De Paul (SVDP) Conference (Food Bank) in Vincent’s memory.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 9:00am until time of mass at 10:00 am at Emmanuel Catholic Church 149 Franklin St. Dayton, Ohio 45402 with Fr. Angelo Celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
