1947 - 2018

Margaret Genevia (Lay) Boggs of Eaton, Ohio (formerly of Tennessee) went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2018.

Margaret was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and her family deeply. She also loved music, and enjoyed singing and playing several instruments. She traveled and sang Southern Gospel and Bluegrass Gospel music over many years with various groups.

Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Walter Elvin Lay and mother, Lovy (Byrge) Lay; her husband, Jim Boggs; her son, Robert Stearns; and special nephew, Chad Calderone Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Walt Stearns and David Stearns; Daughter in Law, Bev Stearns; Grandchildren, Jennifer Peck (Lonnie), Melissa Hubbard (David), Jamie Stearns (Ashley), Marshall Stearns, Davin Stearns (Jamie), Abigail Stearns (Joey), as well as 25 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by brothers, Ronald (Donna) Lay, Roger (Dorothy) Lay, Randall Lay, Ricky Lay, Lonzy (Dyan) Lay; Sisters, Betty (Steve) Dunlap, Linda (Bill) Bunch, Debra (Mike) Dougherty, and Barbara (Lane) Dougherty. Special friends, Edith Ingle & Cathy Herman, as well as many more beloved nephews, nieces, friends and relatives far too numerous to mention.

Family will receive friends from 10:30 AM-12 noon on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424 where a funeral service will begin at 12 noon with Pastor Jim Webb officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dayton National Cemetery at 1:45 PM.
