Charlotte Ann Massie, age 81 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 9, 1936 in Spring Valley, Ohio, the daughter of Chester and Audrey Grooms, Sr.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Massie, brothers, Chester Grooms, Jr., Neil Grooms, Gene Grooms and Gary Grooms and sister, Marilyn Grooms.

Charlotte cherished the time she was able to spend with her family. She enjoyed traveling to places like Gatlinburg, Dollywood and Las Vegas. Charlotte was known for her banana pudding and cooking of all kinds of foods.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri Ann (David) Allen and Lorraine Sue (James Faircloth) Massie; son, Michael Lee Massie; grandchildren, Bobbie Butts, Heather Massie, Teresa, Jamie and David Hawkins; 16 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne, Marvin and Ronnie Grooms; sisters, Beverly and Corinna Grooms. Charlotte is also survived by numerous family and friends.

The family will receive guests Monday, November 19th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer, Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Services will begin Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Silvercreek Cemetery.
