Paul Eugene Gustke, age 91, of Beavercreek, died October 6, 2018.

He was born April 27, 1927 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Walter and Freda (Meyer) Gustke.

Paul graduated from Parkersburg High School, served 2 years in the Navy, attended Valparaiso University, and graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Electrical Engineering.

Paul was married to the late Mary Ruth (Hahn) for 64 years. He is survived by four children, Rosanne (James) Weidaw, John (Sandi) Gustke, Edward (Patricia) Gustke, and Karen Hahn; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Paul enjoyed playing golf and watching football and basketball. His greatest love was religious and classical music. Paul sang in choirs in high school, the Navy, college, and church.

During his lifetime he happily served his Lord as an Elder, teacher and choir member.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 10:30 am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kettering, Ohio. Paul’s family will greet friends from 9:30-10:30 am on Wednesday at the church. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s name to Emmanuel Lutheran Church Endowment Fund: Educational Ministries and the Gideons International.
