He was born November 26, 1943 at 321 Huffman Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, in his family home, to the late Claude and Mary Rainer. David was a mass accumulator of trains and train tracks. He loved his family and spoiled his grandchildren rotten. He was the most stubborn person alive! David loved Christmas because it was another excuse to spoil the grandchildren. He loved family events and would talk to anybody.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving sisters and brothers.
David is survived by his wife of 39 years, Maria; children, Steven (Adriane), Elizabeth (Ronnie), Kristina (Joe), Regina, Dennis, and Timothy (Emma); grandchildren, Victoria, David, Ethan, Virginia, Elijah, Arthur, Alexander, Katherine, Theodore, Leonard (Shawna), Dylan, Josh, Cierra, Amie; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Frances; brother, Paul; sister, Shirley, and a large number of extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 9:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 310 Allen St. Dayton, Ohio 45410. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
