He leaves behind his best friend, soulmate and loving wife of 31 years, Kathy McKelvey.
Tom retired a proud member of the Painter’s Union Local #249 in Dayton after 35 years and during his time, he enjoyed mentoring many other members in the trade. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, travel and spend time with his family.
Tom was preceded in death by brothers Jim, Doug, Kenny, Tony and Harold.
Tom is survived by his sister Wilma Shinlever; children Denice Garcia, Karen Lynch, Thomas (Melissa), Bobby (Jessica), Denice (Art) King, Shannon (Abe) Lewis; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; mother and father-in-law Tommy and Kathy Smyth; sisters-in-law Marilyn (Scott) Smiley, Kim King; and numerous nieces and nephews.
