Brenda J. Allen, age 69 of Dayton, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018. She was born April 1, 1948 in Pensacola, Florida, the daughter of the late Jacob East and Edwina Grimes.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Foster.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronald; sons, Logan (Lynzee) Allen, Brett Anthony (Sharon) Jones; step-father, James Grimes; step-mother, Mattie East; sisters, Jamita (Stan) Tompkins, Crescent (Sanford) Williams, Angela (Andrew) Gundy, Kim Blackmon, Chelsea East; and brother, Jacob (Brenda) East Jr. Brenda was employed with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for 25+ years.

Family visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 3:00-5:00pm. Memorial Service and Celebration of Life to immediately follow family visitation. All services will be held at Mt. Enon Baptist Church 1501 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45402. Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424) will be handling all arrangements.

The family would like to thank Mary Scott Nursing Center for three years of thoughtful, compassionate care. Brenda touched and positively impacted so many lives. As those lives continue to evolve, her spirit shall move with them so they can reach and impact the next generation. That is how you become legendary. That is the everlasting memory of Brenda Joyce.
