Philhower, Terri L., (Smeltzer), age 53, of Kettering, beloved wife, wonderful mother and “GiGi,” devoted daughter and sister, passed away September 10, 2017.

She was a 1986 graduate of Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. Terri was employed by the Kettering School District and most recently by Dr. Michael Halasz, DDS. She loved the beach and traveling to Hilton Head and Florida. She was selflessly devoted to her family and she was well loved by everyone.

Terri is survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert J. Philhower; children, Lindsey, Emily, Riley; grandson, Nolan Davis; mother, Shari O’Hara; father, H.David Smeltzer; siblings, Robert Smeltzer, Gregory Thompson, Amy Dahm, Geoffrey Thompson, Brandon O’Hara, Nick Smeltzer and Wendy Thompson; in-laws, Don and Joyce Philhower; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Christ Church United Methodist 3440 Shroyer Rd., Kettering. Burial will follow at David’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Terri’s memory.
