Gladys T. Reynolds, age 77 of Dayton, passed away August 24, 2016. She was born August 25, 1938 in Homer, LA to the late Samuel and Ella Grigsby. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Reynolds; son, Tony Edward Reynolds; brother, John Grigsby; and sister, Juanita Jackson.

Gladys is survived by her children: Kevin (Linda) Reynolds, Tara (Larry) Miller and Gwendolyn Reynolds; grandchildren: Kamille Reynolds, Gary Frisby III, Nicholas Gerron Frisby and Imani Miller; great-granddaughter, Malahnie Reynolds Jones; brothers: Cleodis Grigsby and Charlie (Dana) Grigsby; special nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Gladys retired from Allstate Insurance Co. She was a wonderful, devoted mother, not only to her children, but to so many others. Gladys was a caring, funny woman who loved cooking to feed one's soul. With Gladys, you knew you were loved.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 5565 W. 3rd Street, Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am. Rev. Herman E. Branham and Rev. Paul Cooksey co-officiating. Burial to follow at Shiloh Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
