Thomas “Tom” Thomas, Jr., 74, of Dayton, passed away on May 19, 2019 at home.

He was born on March 14, 1945 to Thomas and Virginia (Dafler) Thomas in Dayton, OH.

Tom worked as a manager at Dot’s Market in the 60s and 70s. He was a produce manager at Food Giant in Marietta, GA in the late 70s. He was a maintenance man for 10 years at hotel, then enjoyed the last 15 years of his career as a finishing carpenter before retiring.

He enjoyed gardening, NASCAR racing, and college football. More than anything, he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Tom is survived by his loving children, Thomas William (Amber Sayler) Thomas, Scott (Leslie) Thomas, Donald (Tara) Thomas, Matt (Mariah) Thomas, and Amanda Thomas; grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Lauren, Ashley and Lindsey, Paisley Rae, Scotty, Summer, Autumn, Maddon, Liam, Declan, Chad Lee, Chris, Zack, Sarah, Sam, and Alyssa; great grandchildren; best friends, Bill and Gail Bond; and many other loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Carrie May Thomas; step-father, Jack Joy; sister, Helen Thomas; and many close friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45432).

Funeral Services will immediately follow at 7:00 pm.

The family invites you to join them at the cemetery for a Graveside Service on Friday, May 24, 2019, 11:00 am at Spring Grove Cemetery (4521 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45232).
