Florence Jeanette McDaniel, age 81, of Dayton, transitioned on August 10, 2022. She was born March 17, 1941 in Hampton, VA. Florence was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Mathis; father, George Bright, Sr.; son, Charles McDaniel and grandson, Samuel McDaniel, Jr.

Florence is survived by her children: Gerald A. Bright, Deborah A. McDaniel and Donald McDaniel, Jr. (Danielle); grandchildren: Ricardo McDaniel (Samantha), Candace Powers, Darius McDaniel (Dominique), Dont'e McDaniel (Destiny), Elijah Bright, Destiny McDaniel, Charles McDaniel, Jr. and Tameran Davis; great-grandchildren: India McDaniel, Samuel McDaniel, Jr., Kennedi Johnson, Kingston McDaniel, Kace McDaniel, Audrey McDaniel, Karson McDaniel, Arianna Bright and Ethan McDaniel; brother, George Bright (Joyce); nephew, Shawn Bright (Retecka); niece, Tiffani Bright; great-niece, Kearstin Bright; great-nephew, Kaden Bright; god-daughter, Shaquita; special friend, Phil Gates; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Florence loved helping others. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and laughing. Florence was a great baker who was known for her delicious cakes. More than anything she loved spending time with her family.
