He was preceded in death by his son Steven Ison, Jr. and his parents Carl and Betty Ison.
Steve served in the United States Air Force as a captain for 23 years until he retired and then went onto teach as a professor of environmental engineering at Shawnee State. Some of his favorite interests were golfing, target shooting and fishing. He left an impact on everyone he met and will be deeply missed by all.
Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.) on Thursday August 18, 2022 at 12:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
