In Memory Of
Ima Fay Baker
1936 - 2022

Ima Fay Baker was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and a devoted servant of the Lord. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, June 27th, 2022. She was born to Daniel Boone Miniard and Molly Miniard on September 13th, 1936 in Harlan, Kentucky.

Fay poured herself into those that she loved, with indescribable patience and graciousness. She married Lonnie (loony) Baker in January of 1971 and those closest to her revere her as “an angelsent from heaven” for staying faithfully by his side for 51 years. Fay was also an incredibly devoted and nurturing mother to her children, Daniel Ray Baker and Tonya B. Meredith.

She fully immersed herself in everything she did and her hands were rarely still; whether it was making the best cabbage rolls and fried chicken, crafting, or sewing, Fay found joy in the art of creation and infused love into everything she did. She fearlessly and tenaciously took on the hardships, trials, and triumphs of life with enormous grace. Rarely, if ever, uttering the smallest of complaints.

She was an active and passionate member of church and a lifelong servant of Jesus Christ. Fay practiced everything in life with unwavering faith, but more importantly, she loved God and sought to serve and honor him in any way she could.

Ima Fay Baker is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lonnie Ray Baker, and her sisters, Helen Sanders and Shirley Ramsey.

She is survived by her two children, Daniel Baker and Tonya Meredith; Siblings: Betty Dixon, Billy Miniard, Joyce Loftis, and Delores Miniard; Grandchildren: Justin Moore, April Moore, Daniel Baker II, Morgan M. Baker, Jordan Baker, Jade Baker, and Beau Baker; Great Grandchildren: Rylan Pfeifer, Zoey Hatmaker, and Jaxson Gunstream; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Please join loved ones for a visitation and memorial on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Pentecostal Apostolic Church, 4927 Wildrose Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45414. Funeral will follow at 1:30pm, with burial services at Dayton Memorial Park, Dayton, Ohio.
