Beverly A. Baker, age 83, of Dayton, passed away January 13, 2022. She was born August 17, 1938 in Southern Ohio to the late Lowell and Edna Nihizer.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Paul Baker, who passed away on January 6, 2022, and they are now reunited in Heaven; daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie Ditmer, Paula and Robert Swayne and Darryll Bond; brothers: Dick Nihizer and John Nihizer; and nephew, Keith Nihizer.

Beverly is survived by her children: Larry Haney (Mary Emison), David R. Haney (Luanne Peterson), Steve Haney (Tracy Longano), Eric Haney (Deborah), Theresia Edwards (Dennis), Patricia Garcia and Mary Anna Bond; son-in-law, Stephen Ramos; grandchildren: David D. Haney (Holly), Stephen Haney (Faith), Susannah Keathley, Sarah Shepherd (Denny), Daniel Haney (Kara), Megan Rhodes (Steve), Allyson Haney, Kai Haney, Joshua Haney, Chelsea Garcia (Gabe), Bethany Smith (J-Bird), Christopher Bond, Joseph Bond, Sarah Veselka (Walter), Mark McClurg (Susan), Jeremy Edgar (Lauren), Nathan McCarty (Stacy), Ben McCarty (Jenni), Allison Garcia, Daniel Swayne, Brandy Vandegrift and Candy Vandegrift; great-grandchildren: Amber, Kyrstin, Camryn, Jakovi, Kaili, Conner, Zackary, Rylan, Lillian, Drystan, Lucas, Logan, Beau, Lily, Carson, Duke, Finnegan, Sorin, Abbott, Mercedes, Abigail, Ayden, Chloe, Landon, Brooklynn, Evelyn, Patrick, Jullian, Jonah, Flynt, Heath, Finley, Henry, Jackson, Hudson, Jovi, Indie and Declan; brother, Lowell Nihizer (Carlene); sister, Ruth Sowers (Lee); sister-in-law, Peggy Nihizer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Beverly was a wonderful, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was always caring for her family and others. She would always help everyone and give the shirt off her back to those who needed it. She was a preacher's daughter who continued on her father's legacy by loving and serving the Lord. Beverly was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise for many years. She never met a stranger and she always saw the good in everyone.

Visitation will be held for Beverly and her husband, Paul from 10-11 am on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where their funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in Beverly's memory to Tabernacle of Praise, 7390 St. Rt. 202, Tipp City, OH 45371.
