In Memory Of
Emily Sue Warrell
1981 - 2022

Emily Sue Warrell (formerly Stenseng), born on January 27th, 1981 passed on to her ever after on January 13th, 2022. Emily was our fun loving, tree hugging, and hippy dippy one. She adored her fur babies, was THE FAVORITE AUNTY, loving daughter, sister, wife, step-mother and friend.

Emily always marched to the beat of her own drum. Despite this, she played clarinet and did color guard…She was adventurous and not afraid to find her own place in the world. She loved to travel just as much as she loved to curl up on the couch. She found pleasure in the simple joys of life and nature. She often had a quiet and calm disposition, unless she was playing the card game Shanghai with her family. According to her husband Chad, Emily and her siblings were out for blood, and he declined to learn the game due to their fierce competitiveness.

Emily was preceded in death by her father, Emil Gilbert Stenseng, who is now sharing his secrets for sneaking up on people and playing practical jokes. I am sure when we see them again, we will have many booby traps to avoid, but so be it. Emily was also preceded by her fur babies Sloan and Mary Jane. She loved her pup and kitty dearly, and took her pup wherever she was allowed.

Emily is survived by her kind and devoted husband Chad Warrell, her dearly loved step children Joshua & Madyson, her fur babies Sadie & Myrtle, her mother, Susan Claire Stenseng, who makes Emily’s favorite no bake strawberry cheesecake, sisters Stephanie Michelle Stenseng-Disbrow & Anne Marie Stenseng-Butas, two ladies who seem to like having really long last names, brother Paul Emil Stenseng, who sometimes forgets where he has parked his car, brothers in law, Patrick Disbrow & Andrei Butas, who know how to mind their own business, sister in law Annabelle Stenseng, who loves everyone until they have a bad attitude toward a family member or friend and/or she is just hungry, nephews and niece Joel Disbrow, Emma & Michael Butas, whom she adored and loved greatly. She was their Favorite Aunty.

Emily is also survived by brother in laws, Jason (Dana) Warrell and Ryan (Holly) Warrell; nephews, Hunter and Garrett; niece, Aubrey; and mother in law, Darlene Mills.

Even though Emily appreciated and enjoyed flowers, she did not feel the need to be surrounded by them. In lieu of flowers, Emily would have liked for you to donate money to a local animal shelter/rescue or plant a tree. She really really loved trees. Perhaps you will have better luck than she did at keeping it alive. Despite loving nature, she was not a green thumb.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH. Funeral services will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 4:00 pm.
