Oswald James Scott, age 94 of Beavercreek, OH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. He was born March 1, 1927 in Rock Castle, Kentucky to Charlie and Daisy (Rose) Scott.

James proudly served his country during World War II in the US Army during the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He retired from General Motors after 25 years and worked 25 years at NCR prior to that. James loved to garden and grew a large variety of fruits and vegetables.

Oswald is survived by his daughters, Sharon Fraley, Sheila Ruth, Sonya Krymow and Stephanie Scott; son, David Scott; grandchildren, Rachel (Andrew) Matheis and Jacob Krymow; two great grandchilden, Cheyenne and Skylar Matheis; sister, Freida Root; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 61 years , Dorothy Scott; daughter, Joyce Gribble; grandson, Nicholas Kellner; son in law, Mark Ruth; and several brothers and sisters.

Memorial Contributions can be made in James name to either Hospice of Dayton or the Alzheimer's Foundation.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
