William Frank Hirst, age 75 of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Widow's Home of Dayton. He was born November 16, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Benjamin and Atlee Hirst.
Bill grew up in Nashville and his heart never left Tennessee. He served in the U.S. Air Force and upon his discharge, worked as a pipe fitter. Bill enjoyed traveling, gardening and yard work, and especially loved his two little dogs, Susie and Shaggy.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Lorene Hirst Lamay; and brother, James Douglas Hirst
Bill will be missed by his loving wife, Linda; children, Patrcia Lynn of Livingston, TN, Rachel Diane Smallwood of Livingston, TN, William Frank Hirst, Jr. of Sparta, TN and Phillip Bartholomew Hirst of Sparta, TN; step-children, Kenneth R. Justice, William M. Justice and Steve K. Justice; many grandchildren; three sisters, Dorthy Rose Franklin Reeds "Dot" of Nashville, TN, Sandra Jeanette Reynolds of Nashville, TN and Rebecca Jane "Becky" (Jack) Key, Murfreesboro, TN; and brother, Benjamin Ardell Hirst, Jr "Benny" of Florida.
Bill will be laid to rest in Nashville and services will be held at a later date.
