Helen "Joann" George, age 80 of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 19, 2021. She was born June 29, 1941 in Peebles, Ohio daughter of the late Lawrence and Louise Conaway.

Joann was a devoted wife, loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Joann retired after 32 dedicated years of employment from Toledo Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist. She loved spending time with her family. Joann was an avid cat lover. Her hobbies consisted of sewing, quilting, cross stitching, genealogy, working on antiques and working in the yard. Joann enjoyed life and those who were around her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to send a special thank you to those that were close to Joann and helped her on a daily basis.

In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie George; as well as her first husband, Herb Graham.

Joann is survived by her daughter, Lori (Scott) Kerner; step - sons, Danny (Janet) George and David (Vicki) George; grandchildren, Sara and Seth; sisters, Linda (Richard) Smith and Jean Malott; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A funeral service will begin at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
