1944 - 2021

Alberta Catherine Parker, age 77, of Dayton, passed away on July 30, 2021. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on May 17, 1944, the daughter of the late Walter Rickert and Catherine (the late Art) Moore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Jim and Dean; her sister, Norma Eilerman; and her brothers, Dale and Dennis Rickert.

Alberta is survived by her loving children, Stephanie (Brian) Lavy, Paul (Beth) Jewett, Jr. and Catherine (Chris) Fanning; grandchildren, Jeremy (Amy), Brian , Keven (Heather), Kristanie (Tommy), Breanne (Eric), Tyler (Christina) and Stephen (Tenneil); great-grandchildren, Madison, Gavin, Ava, Logan, Isiah, Emory, Charlotte, Tiani, Zaniah, Alexandria and Dax; step-grandchildren, Erica and Ethan; step-great grandchildren, Christopher, Cecilia, Scarlett, Tressa, Alec and Kayllen; her brother, Gary (Eileen "Annie") Rickert; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Alberta had worked for many years as a Veterinary Assistant at Huber Heights Animal Hospital. In her free time, she enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, sewing, gardening and baking. She had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. She was always there for those she loved. Alberta loved nature and was always feeding any animal that came into her yard.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 12pm, at the Masonic Temple, 246 North Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer charity of one's choice or to your local animal rescue organization.
