Crystal was a loving wife, mother of eight, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was one of the strongest and greatest women to her family and those around her. She was very giving and loving to everyone and would pray for those she felt were in need. In 2004, Crystal received the "Mother of the Year" award from the city of Dayton and the Dayton Daily News.
Crystal was a devout Christian and was a member of the Believers Hope Church of God in Fairborn where she was also a Sunday School teacher for many years. She will be remembered for her many sayings, two of which were "Never forget to forgive" and "Jesus is listening".
In addition to her parents, Crystal was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest J. Landgraf; second husband, John B. Phillips; and sons, Joseph James Landgraf and Daniel David Phillips; grandchildren, Christopher D. Phillips and Shawn M. Scott; and sister, Sara Puterbaugh.
Crystal will be missed by her loving children, Ernest "Skip" C. Landgraf, Sr., Anthony F. Landgraf, Charles R. (Sue) Phillips, Betty J. Lowe and Sarah E. Jones; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery.
