1952 - 2021

Royce James Spurlock, age 69 of Trotwood, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was born February 6, 1952 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, son to the late Charles and Pauline Spurlock.

In addition to his parents, Royce was preceded in death by sister, Anita Mabel Hahn and brother, Danny Ray Spurlock

Royce will be missed by his loving wife of almost 39 years, Joanne; Tony (Angela) Totten and William (Jennifer) Totten; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Kay and Jana; and brothers, Mike, Darice, Bruce and Timothy.

Royce was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was always laughing and made others laugh. He served in the U.S. Army and he retired from Trotwood-Madison City Schools after 35 years. Royce was a very spiritual man who was always helping people. He enjoyed time spent with his family and building model cars.

Family will receive friends Monday, May 17,2021 from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks be worn in all public places.
