Tamika Lashay Cook (age 29) of Dayton Ohio, departed this life on April 5, 2021, born as Susie Ruth Shropshire on April 2, 1992. She graduated from Springfield South High School and Purdue University where she received an Associates degree in Human Services. She presently was attending Purdue University in pursuit of Bachelor of Science degree in Youth and Family Services Administration.

She is survived by her only son, Ja'Meir D. Cook; biological mother, Darlene Shropshire; adoptive mother, Regina Cook; biological siblings, Shuranda Shropshire, Shawndale Stephens, Michael Shropshire, Brent Shropshire, Brenda Shropshire, Dianna Burney, Troy Shropshire, De'Asia Shropshire, and Dakesha Shropshire; adoptive siblings, Nicole Cook and Shayla McMahon; and a host of close friends and family members.

Tamika was predeceased by her grandmothers Susie Ruth Shropshire and Irene Cook.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in West Memory Gardens. The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.
