Alan Warren Schierenbeck
1957 - 2021

Alan Warren Schierenbeck, age 64, of Dayton, passed away on March 14, 2021. He was born in Xenia, Ohio, on February 8, 1957, the son of the late Doyt and Betty Schierenbeck.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Emma & D'arlo Mitchell and August Wilhelm & Bessie Schierenbeck.

Alan is survived by his son, Kevin (Katrina) Reynolds ; brother, Dana (Laurie) Schierenbeck; granddaughter, Charlie; and a grandson on the way, that he was looking forward to meeting; cousins, Joyce Mitchell and Don Mitchell; and many other loving family and friends.

Alan retired from Morning Pride, after more than 30 years, where he was employed in many roles. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, riding his motorcycle, astronomy and his Cadillacs. Alan also adored the time he spent with friends and family. He had a heart of gold and an exuberance for life!! He was a very intelligent man and held many patents on the products he invented that helped protect those in the fire industry. Alan had a determination that was unsurpassed. Even throughout his illness, he exhibited a strength that was a testament to his character.

A Celebration of his life will be held by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, P.O. Drawer 498, Emmitsburg, MD 21727.
