1934 - 2021

Norma Jean Coffman, age 86 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 17, 1934 in Peoples, Kentucky to the late Randall and Opsy Gaines.

Norma was a loving wife and mother. When her children were small, she enjoyed spending time with her family and going to her boys' baseball games. She also enjoyed cooking and kept quite a collection of cookbooks. In her later years, Norma found enjoyment talking on the telephone with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Coffman and brother, Russell Glover.

Norma will be missed by her three sons, Brian Coffman, Martin (Karen) Coffman and James (Tambra) Coffman; two granddaughters, Valerie Lynn and Delaney Rose; sisters, Beverly Ann Sparks and Veva Eileen Hardin.

There will be no services held. Norma will be laid to rest next to her husband at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
