Harold E. Benke Jr. age 76, of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully with the Lord on January 17, 2021. He was born July 11, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Harold and Ruth Benke Sr.

Harold was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Harold retired from DP& L after 40 years of employment. He was a member of the Beavercreek VFW post 8312. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and an occasional cold adult beverage with his brother-in-law. Harold is going to be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Ruth Benke Sr.

Harold is survived by his wife of 54 years Carole Benke; daughters, Shellie Marksberry (Ryan) and Sherie (Mark) Kneubuehl; grandchildren, Juston Theile (Shelby), Katie Marksberry (Zack), William "Garrett" Marksberry, Jaide Theile (Christian), and Jenna Marksberry; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren on the way; sisters, Barbara Wallace, Ruth Whitesell; brother-in-law, Dennis (Kathy) Lawson; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, (3380 Dayton -Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45320). A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00pm at the Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Getts officiating.

The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks will be worn in all public places.
