James "Craig" McLaughlin, of Dayton, Ohio, left this life unexpectedly on July 21st at the age of 62. Craig was born June 8th, 1958 in Charleston, West Virginia, and was a 1976 graduate of Northridge High School. He attended church at RHC in Fairborn, Ohio, where he served as head of security.

At the age of 17, Craig met the other half of him, and spent 45 years loving her. He was known for his incredible ability to make people laugh, his love of loud music, his crazy stories and terrible jokes. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but especially by his wife, daughters and grandchildren.

Craig is survived by his wife of 41 years, Wanda (Sizemore) McLaughlin; daughters, Sarah McLaughlin-Boggs and Elizabeth (Mike) Collier; grandchildren, Trenton, Ethan, Kailen, Colton, Bryson and Lanie; sister and brother in laws, Charlotte Aleshire, Melba (Terry) Hunsbarger and Martha (Ken) Welty; mother in law, Marie Sizemore; special friend and brother, Danny (Nancy) Jenkins; brothers and sisters, Debbie Kucharski, Bobby (Sereda) McLaughlin, Scott McLaughlin, Doug Davidson, Belinda (Dave) Neff; stepbrother and stepsister, Robin (Gary) Smith and Carl (Tracy) Hussong; step-mother, Cathi McLaughlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Craig was preceded in death by his father in law, Edward Sizemore; step father, Ronald Cope; father, Robert McLaughlin; and mother, Shirley Cope.

Family will receive friends Friday, July 31, 2020 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. at Evangel Church of God, 132 N. Smithville Rd., Dayton. Burial in the Edward Sizemore Family Cemetery, Lilly, Kentucky. Arrangements by Newcomer North Chapel, Dayton.
