Melissa Sue Dalton-Baker, age 37, of Kettering, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas Baker Jr.
Melissa is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Darron T. Baker; children, Addison M. Baker (age 7) and Samuel E. Baker (age 2); parents, Edward F. & Susan M. Dalton; grandparents, Wanda Matta and Bob Dalton; sister, Ashley (Michael) Barnett; mother-in-law, Lorene Baker; sister-in-law, Tracey Baker; and many other relatives and friends.
Melissa was an educator for 13 years. She taught math and social studies at Middletown City Schools, as well as Valley View Local Schools. Melissa touched many lives through her work as an educator. She was infamous for her Barbie Doll collection and her knowledge of each doll’s history and worth. Melissa was well known in her community for her kindness and generosity. Many people described her as the sweetest person they knew, “Sweet Mel.”
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 15th 2020 at 10:30 am at Miami Valley Memory Gardens where Melissa will be laid to rest.
