On a crisp Fall day in Richmond, Indiana November 24, 1948 Yvonne Marie White entered this world. Her parents Jeanne Marie White and Alphonso White gave this gift to the world.

Yvonne received her primary and secondary education in the Richmond, Indiana public school system, graduating from Richmond Senior High School in 1966. She moved to Indianapolis for a short time before moving to and settling in Dayton, Ohio. Yvonne made her career with Goodwill Industries from which she was able to retire. During her years with Goodwill she specialized in assisting clients with visual impairments. The hallmark of Yvonne’s travels through life was her unconditional love for her family and friends.

Yvonne quietly departed this life on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio, with her unwaveringly devoted daughter Sonya by her side. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Jeanne Marie White, Father Alphonso White and beloved Aunt Kathleen Maupin of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children James A. Johnson III of Fort Worth Texas, Sonya Lynn Smith of Dayton, Ohio and Deryk D. (Star) Smith of Atlanta, Georgia. Her eight grandchildren, Sierra L. (Ralphael) Allen of Cincinnati, Ohio, Simonne Gage of Columbus, Ohio and Milton J. Gage (M.J.) of Dayton, Ohio. Deryk J. Smith of Nashville, Tennessee, Lexie Smith of Nashville, Tennessee, Jai’Chelle Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana, Tre’Darius Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas and James A. Johnson IV of Fort Worth, Texas. Her Great Grandchildren Mason Carter and Riley King Allen of Cincinnati, Ohio and Niece Jacqui Boatwright Banks of Dayton, Ohio. As well as a host of devoted family and friends.

Family will receive friends Friday, June 12, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio.
