In addition to his grandparents, Jason was preceded in death by his uncle, Anthony Neto.
Jason is survived by his parents; husband and companion of 14 years, Darrell Frye; sister, Deirdre Neto; nephews, Alexander, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Alex, Caitlin, Kathryn, Elizabeth, George, Victoria, Gloria and Naomi; beloved chocolate lab, Ruby and cat, Boom; aunts and uncles, Charles (Rebecca) Gooding and Frances Wiley parents-in-law, Mike and Kathy Frye and other in-laws, Eric Frye, Michael (Holly) Frye and Erin (Ben) Sanchez as well as other extended family members and many friends.
Jason was 1991 graduate of Arch Bishop Alter High School and studied graphic arts at Sinclair Community College where he earned his Associate’s Degree. Jason also was a licensed massage therapist. He worked as paraprofessional for the Dayton Public Schools for over 16 years and was employed as a barista for the last 2 years with Starbucks in Kroger. Jason enjoyed many activities and interests in his free time including COFFEE, bears and otters, antique collecting, Fiesta Ware, caring for his pets, watching Family Guy and American Dad, and COFFEE. Jason had eclectic taste in activities; he was imaginative, creative and energetic and will always be remembered as a big friendly bear who always brought a smile to everyone’s face.
Due to the current extenuating circumstances services for Jason will be private with a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date. Newcomer Funeral Home – KETTERING caring for arrangements. Calvary Cemetery, Dayton will serve as Jason’s final resting place. Memorial contributions may be made to The Human Rights Campaign C/O HRC Foundation at
