Gayle J. Harting, 79, of Huber Heights, passed away on March 29, 2020 at Laurels of Huber Heights.

She was born on October 28, 1940 to Coy and Cynthia (Richardson) Jennings in Lebanon, VA.

She graduated from Randolph High School, Class of ’59.

Gayle worked as a Customer Service Manager for 25 years at Reynolds & Reynolds. She also spent some time at Miami Computer Supply in Beavercreek. After retirement, she spent 10 years with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation as an interpreter in VA.

She was a very kind and giving person. Gayle often put other people’s needs before hers. She always enjoyed the company of her friends and family. Traveling and crossword puzzles were her favorite past times. In her younger years, she loved music and dancing.

Gayle is survived by her loving son, Christopher Hoke; step-children, Lynn (Peter) Ware-Harting, of Toronto, Canada, and Greg (Sheila) Harting, of Columbus, OH; step-granddaughter, Nikki Harting of Columbus, OH; brother, Robert Jennings of Charleston, SC; and numerous other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Cynthia Jennings; first husband, Robert Hoke who passed in 1976; second husband, James Harting who passed in 1998; and brother, Gary Jennings who passed in 2008.

Graveside Services will take place privately at Riverside Cemetery in West Milton.

Arrangements in the care of Newcomer North Chapel.

Donations may be made in Gayle’s memory to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton or the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in VA.
