Phyllis Ann McElwee, age 74, of Kettering, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 14, 1945 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of the late Robert and Barbara McNerney.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who especially loved to play and dance with her beloved grandchildren. Phyllis enjoyed playing Scrabble, she was an avid gardener and reader. She will be dearly missed by all her family. She motivated her family, she always had a loving ear and also had the most loving spirit.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Pat Walker.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Robert D. McElwee; four children, Shelley (Jim) Pesa, Sandy (Steve) Kline, Robert M. (Lynn) McElwee and Amber (Josh) Beavers; grandchildren, Ashley (James) Shaffer, Amanda (Tony) Cline, Bryan (Tayler) Hiehle, Tyler Pesa, Ryan Kline, Sarah Kline, Natalie McElwee, Nick McElwee, Jacob Beavers, Julie Beavers, Jackson Beavers and Jill Beavers; great-grandchildren, Damien Sanders, Lily Shaffer, Tori Shaffer, Mia Cline and Luka Hiehle; brothers, John McNerney and Dan (Gail) McNerney; brother-in-law, Bob Walker; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
