Jankay, Stephen J. age 90, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019. He was born in Pittston, Pennsylvania on December 25, 1928 to the late Peter and Mary Jankay (nee Mackanic).

He was preceded in death by his twelve siblings. Stephen is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Patricia F. Jankay (nee Kelly); children, Virginia "Diana" (Harlan) Glassburn, Marjorie L. (Steve) Yarosz, Steven D. Kelly, and Theresa M. (Christopher) Rice; grandchildren, Stephanie, Brady, Russell, Patrick, Angela, DianaDawn, Juanita, Rose, Monica, and Holly; and a host of other family members and friends.

Stephen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was a member of the FOE 2641 for many years.

"I will remember all you have taught me. I finally understand! The thing's that are important.. are all that we have... Even though I lost you, Your love is still my guide. Though I cannot see you, You are always by my side. I have to close this letter now. But this is not goodbye. For you will forever be with me in my Heart an Mind..."


Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Mass will follow on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Helen's Parish - 605 Granville PL., Dayton, Ohio 45431. Stephen will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428.
