Trinity Alexis Shields, age 14, died on Thursday April 18, 2019. Trinity loved the outdoors, swimming, jumping on the trampoline, chicken fingers and fries, her cats, and her dog Delila. She was a very smart and beautiful young lady who will be missed by everyone.

Trinity is preceded in death by her grandfather, William VanMeter.

Trinity is survived by her grandmother, Joanne Prater; grandfather, Rodney Carr; great grandmother, Flossie Prater; father, Rickie (Amanda) VanMeter; mother, Jacky Shields; siblings Rickie VanMeter Jr., Tegan Geiger, Tristin Shields, Tucker and Trevor Valentine; aunts and uncles, Jeremy VanMeter, Angela Ashburn, Misty and Evan Carr, Randall and Shawna VanMeter, and Bayli VanMeter; as well as numerous cousins and extended family and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio, 45424). A funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm.

After the service, there will be a Celebration of Life at Northridge High School, 2251 Timber Lane, Dayton, Ohio 45414, in the cafeteria, from 3:30-5:30 pm. If you would like to help with the celebration, please bring a covered dish to share with family and friends.
