JB Kinder, age 92, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Born in Oklahoma City, OK on June 10, 1926 to the late Leo & Ruby Kinder. JB was the oldest of six children. He was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Kinder. JB is survived by sisters, Leora Day, LaDell Fisher and Annabell Robison; and brother, Bob Kinder.

JB graduated Valedictorian at Ozark Academy in Gentry, Arkansas class of 1944, where he became the school photographer. He graduated Salutatorian at Southwestern Junior College in Keene, Texas class of 1946. JB & Neva were married June 3, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas. JB went on to graduate from Southern Missionary College in Collegedale, Tennessee class of 1948. He earned a Master’s Degree from Oklahoma University in 1971. JB graduated from the National Defense University, in Washington D.C. class of 1977. He retired after 30 years with the Air Force’s Logistics Research and Development at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio and Tinker AFB in Midwest City, Oklahoma. JB was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart & wife of 71 years, Neva Kinder. They moved to Dayton and became members of the Kettering Seventh-Day Adventist Church in 1968.

He is survived by his children, Anne (Roy) Hamilton of Naples, FL, Michael (Laura) Kinder of Applegate, MI, Don (Jane) Kinder of Richmond, VA and Kay (David) Starkey of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Reuben Kinder, Melanie (Erik) Ulland, Gillian Kinder, Jennifer (Kenneth) Garcia, Darin (Ashley) Starkey, Kevin (Nicole) Starkey and Karin (John) Peebles; great-grandchildren, Kameron Kinder, Jaden Kinder, Stellan Ulland, Esven Ulland, Xavier Starkey and Oliver Starkey.

JB’s hobbies included car restoration, photography, camping, canoeing, bicycling, and playing softball on a senior team, CIA. He especially loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandkids. JB was a wonderful husband, father and “Brampers”.
