Bob grew up in Vandalia and graduated from Butler High School. He graduated from Wittenberg University with a degree in Business and worked his entire career as a credit manager. Bob worked at Cardinal Health, retiring in 2016 after 58 years. He coached soccer for 12 years at Beavercreek Soccer Association and served as a board member. Bob enjoyed a good game of golf and a cold beer at the 19th hole. He was an outdoorsman who took the family boating at Brookville Lake in Indiana, loved to hunt, watch sports, was an avid reader, taught his children how to shoot and was impressed with their accuracy. Bob was a generous man, opened his house to everyone, was a gentle giant and deeply loved by everyone he met. He touched many peoples' lives, loved his family dearly, loved his time with his grandkids watching their sports activities and will be greatly missed by all.
Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years Carole; three sons, Scott (Chrystal) Jackson, Michael (Alexa) Jackson and Brian (Lydia) Jackson; two daughters, Susan (Paul) True and Loni (Tim) Jackson; seven grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Lukas, William, Owen, Anaka and Myles; a sister, Patricia (James) Upton; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the funeral per Bob's wishes.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Bob's name to the Gary Sinise Foundation, PO Box 368, Woodland Hills, CA, 91365.
