Bettyanne married her childhood best friend and high school sweetheart, Charles J. Smith on September 29, 1951. The two shared many happy years together until his passing in 2018.
She was passionate about music and a skilled craftswomen. She enjoyed knitting, croqueting, dancing, and reading in her free time. She was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and then at St. Peter's Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic and took great pleasure in reading her Bible.
Bettyanne was a loving, caring, and compassionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Bettyanne was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Smith; parents, Katherine Adams and Clyde Johnson; step-father, Ray Adams; and little brother.
Bettyanne leaves to cherish her memory, loving children, Gary Smith, Rick Smith, Chris (Crystal) Smith, and Patrick (Angela) Smith; brother, Jim (Jean) Adams; grandchildren, Kelly (Scott) Ballard, Andrea Jackson, Laura (Matt) Miracle, Ian (Tara) Smith, Adam Smith, Tyler (Rachel) Smith, Alexandra Smith, Jordan Smith, and Natalie Smith; great-grandchildren, Jack, Grace, Jakob, Lukas, Madalyn, Nolan, Hank, Lyric, and Emerson; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Newcomer - North Chapel from 5pm - 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bettyanne's honor to The Make A Wish Foundation or The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center.
