1949 - 2019

Jerry L. Sage, Sr. age 69 of Kettering, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 22, 1949 in Kettering, Ohio to Carl and Lilly Mae (Alexander) Sage. He married Connie Jo Johnson on February 28, 1969 in Kettering, OH.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from General Motors in 1997 after 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, camping and loved his dogs. Jerry loved to travel in his mobile home and enjoyed the family vacations in Destin, Florida. He was an avid sports fan and watched UD basketball games on a regular basis, and followed the Reds, Bengal and Ohio State. Jerry was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who loved his family dearly, and will be greatly missed by all.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years Connie Jo; a son, Jerry "Jay" (Kelly) Sage Jr.; a daughter, Jenny (Rich) Schultz; five grandchildren, Jacob, Justin (Destiny), Chelsea, Katy and Isaiah; two great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Jayce; and a brother, Bill Sage; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jack Sage; and a great granddaughter, Ava Sage Bosier.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens with military honors.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Jerry's name to Shriner's Hospital, 3018, 3229 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
