Vicki Lynn Wright, age 66, of Piqua, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Vicki was born in Maysville, KY on April 20, 1952 to Forrest and Aleata Ogden.
Vicki married Ed Wright on July 26th, 1986. The two shared many happy years together.

Vicki was a passionate reader and loved to spend time outdoors. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Dale Hollow Lake was a special place to Vicki, being there brought her peace and comfort. She was a long time member at Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church.

Vicki was a generous and compassionate person. One of her greatest passions was caring for others. She worked with individuals with disabilities and would always help someone in need. She was kind and caring and never met a stranger. Vicki could make anyone smile with her contagious joy and love for life.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She took great pride in her family and adored her grandchildren. Vicki will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Vicki leaves to cherish her memory, loving husband of 32 years, Ed Wright; sons, James Patrick (Leslie Niday) Porter, Timothy Preston (Cora Wyatt) Porter, and Timothy Brinton Wright; Shannon Dow; twin brother, Royce (Debbie Large) Ogden; younger brother, Mike Ogden; sisters, Cindy Ferguson and Michelle Rose; grandchildren, Hailey, Hunter, and Autumn; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A service honoring Vicki’s life will take place on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at New Creations Counseling Center (7695 S. County Rd. 25A, Tipp City), original location of Ginghamsburg UMC - at 6pm. Family will greet friends and loved ones for 2 hours prior (4pm-6pm).

Burial to take place the next day, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Miami Memorial Park Inc. at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vicki’s memory to Hospice of Miami County or the Glioblastoma Foundation.
