June L. Spears passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8th 2018.

She was born on July 10, 1934 in Dayton, OH.

June graduated from Stivers High School in 1952.

She lived in Dayton before moving to Florida in 2003 where she lived for 12 years before returning back to be closer to family. She loved her friends in the community and the countless golf cart rides around the complex with her friend Harold Howard. She had many hobbies including playing bingo, completing crossword puzzles, listening to music and watching some classic shows like Wheel of Fortune, Two and a Half Men and her favorite soap operas.

She worked at Ohio Bell and Greene Memorial Hospital as a switchboard operator where she developed a passion for CB radios and got awarded her first handle name - Switchy. June retired from NCR Credit Union in 1984.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Daniel B. Spears Sr., her best friend Harold Howard. Her mother Charlotte Barnes and her father Noel Barnes. Her great grandson Jordyn Matthew Elzey (Stephens).

Survived by Debra Ingram (Timothy Ingram), Daniel B. Spears Jr. (Brenda Spears) Charlotte M. Whiteman (Jack Whiteman). Grandchildren: Edward Spears, Candace Abner, Carla Morris, Sara Angell (Nicholas Angell), Matthew Morris, Jessica L. Spears, Gage D. Stephens, Tess M. Stephens, Jared Spears, Paige Spears, Emily Coberly and Sara Skopinski (Blake Skopinski). Great Grandchildren: Rhyauna, Demahjah, Deziyah, Jeremiah, Dezayah, Malachi, Aubree, Hunter, Levi, Hevin, Maelena, Jaiden, Brayden, Raelynn, Kinsleigh, Kaeden, and Carter.

She will always be remembered for her devotion as a wife and mother; for her smile, jokes and great laughs which landed her the nickname, Giggles from her close friends.
